As the Qual PAC Fiji event unfolded, its programme and learning progressed, imparting valuable knowledge to all participants. A significant outcome of this event revealed itself, promising benefits for years to come.

Transformation comes in a variety of shapes and sizes.

The most obvious is the physical transformation. At Qual PAC Fiji, three training rooms were completely upgraded – new roofs, paint, furniture, flooring, and the fire training ground received more than just a makeover. Over the coming years, these new facilities will be enjoyed by hundreds of students as they pass through the doors and train on the fireground.

Less obvious, but equally important, is the transformation of the knowledge base. Learning is a constant, and the Qual PAC programme has incorporated the latest in eLearning, Qual-eFire, which has ushered in a new era of continuous learning. By combining physical and eLearning, we provide a blended learning approach that ensures comprehensive education for all participants.

Lastly, there is the transformation brought about by inclusiveness. Firefighters are, by nature, a band of brothers and sisters sharing a life dedicated to service and safety. Through the event, groups intermingled, social media groups were joined, and lifetime friendships were formed.

The Qual PAC event in Fiji demonstrated that transformation is multi-faceted, impacting physical spaces, knowledge bases, and social connections.
