Qual PAC Asia 2024 is the world’s leading Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) training event, renowned for its rigorous, internationally certified courses. In collaboration with China’s national ARFF training organisation, this exclusive event adheres to ICAO and NFPA standards, offering a premier training experience in China. The state-of-the-art training centre, operated by Beijing Super Umbrella under the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), features two full-sized aircraft fire training mock-ups with integrated pressure-fed fire systems, a flashover simulation, and advanced classrooms equipped with immersive technology and virtual reality systems. Participants will learn the latest tactics and techniques from globally renowned ARFF instructors, ensuring comprehensive, realistic, and high-intensity training. Q. What if my flight is cancelled / delayed?
A. Please inform the course Director/s as soon as you can.
Q. Will there be Wi-Fi in the classroom?
A. Yes, free high-speed Wi-Fi will be available.
Q. What should I wear?
A. You will be provided with course t-shirts and a cap. Long pants should
be worn in the classroom and when undertaking other activities such as site
visits. The weather in Wuhan in November is cool so please bring
appropriate clothing.
Q. Should I bring my PPE?
A. Yes, you must bring your PPE including turnout pants and jacket, helmet,
firefighting gloves, and firefighting boots. Please let us know if you have
any difficulty in bringing your PPE.
Q. Is the Hotel far from the fire training area?
A. The hotel is a short drive from the fire training area. Transport
to/from the hotel will be provided every day.
Q. Is food provided?
A. Yes, you will be provided with breakfast, lunch and dinner every day of
the course.
Q. What happens if I get sick during the course?
A. If you are feeling unwell (or if you are injured), you must inform your
instructor who will inform course management. If required, you will be
provided with first aid and/or transported to medical care.
Q. Will I receive any course notes / handouts I can take back with me?
A. Yes, you will be provided with a large amount of printed material.
Q. What qualification will I receive?
A. Upon successful completion of the course/s, you will be issued a
Certificate of Completion which is internationally recognised. The course
is in accordance with the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO)
Standards and Recommended Practices, including Annex 14, the Airport
Services Manual Part 1 Rescue and Firefighting, and the National Fire
Protection Association Codes.
Q. Is the water safe to drink in China?
A. Whilst in your hotel, we recommend that you drink bottled water.
Filtered water will also be provided during the course.
Q. Are shops and restaurants near the hotel?
A. Yes. There are a large range of shops, restaurants, and cafes within
walking distance of your hotel.
Q. How many participants are coming to the course and where are they from?
A. We anticipate around 50 – 70 students from several countries will attend
the course.
Q. Is there a laundry nearby where I can wash my clothes?
A. Yes, a laundry is located at your hotel.
Q. What are the course times?
A. Courses will commence at 0800 every morning (Monday to Friday) and
conclude at 1800 in the afternoon.
Q. What will happen on the weekend?
A. A range of sightseeing activities will be on offer. We suggest teaming
up with some course participants and making the most of Wuhan!
Q. What if I have a complaint / grievance?
